CDR Europe is looking for experts in digital responsability !
Corporate Digital Responsibility in Europe (CDREurope) is an Interreg Europe project aiming to improve the implementation of regional development policies to support the adoption of digital responsibility by SMEs. The project will deploy 4 pilots in Europe: Italy, Romania, Spain and France.
As leader of the French pilot, Cap Digital is looking for experts (individuals or companies) who will provide consulting services on the implementation of responsible digital practices to the Ile-de-France Region's SMEs that have been selected through an open call in July 2024. Applications must be submitted through the link below before 6 October 2024.
The selected experts will be trained (in English) on the model for CDR uptake in SMEs in November 2024 and are expected to provide the service between February 2025 and July 2025. The consultancy can be provided in French.
On June 12 and 13, the MAKING-CITY project held its Final Event which marked the culmination of six years of work towards Positive Energy District (PED). The two days event consisted of the last consortium meeting the final stakeholder workshop and final innovation camp. The event was located in two iconic Groningen locations: the renowned Euroborg Stadium, home to FC Groningen, and the modern, sustainably built Energy Barn, close to the Hanze ENTRANCE – Centre of Expertise Energy.
The project was launched in December 2018 and will end in November 2024. Coordinated bythe CARTIF Technology Centre, the MAKING-CITY consortium brings together 34 partners: 9 city councils, 5 universities, 4 research centres, 4 clusters and foundations, 4 rental housing administrators, 4 SMEs, 3 energy companies, and one construction firm. The project focuses on PED wich is defined as “a district with annual net zero energy import and net zero carbon emissions, working towards an annual local surplus production of renewable energy” in the European Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET Plan).
From September 9th to 15th, the World Green Building Council celebrated World Green Building Week 2024. This year's theme focused on three key principles to promote sustainable construction practices : Reduce, Decarbonize and Adapt. The Serbian Green Building Council hosted this event in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. It served as a platform to showcase exemplary practices and local solutions aligned with these sustainability principles, emphasizing the importance of sustainable construction on a global scale.The conference featured a dedicated forum powered by three Horizon Europe projects, focusing on advancing circular solutions within the construction sector : Circ-Boost, Reconstruct, and Woodcircle. This forum provided an opportunity to explore how innovators across Europe are applying circular economy principles to significantly reduce the environmental and climate impact of construction. Attendees were treated to dynamic panel discussions, insightful talks, and collaborative sessions, all highlighting the critical work being done by these three European projects to address the complex challenges of sustainable construction.
3rd General Assembly at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona !
Circ-Boost project partners met for 3rd General Assembly at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain on June 27 and 28.
The event, was an excellent opportunity for the partners to share the progress made over the last months and to strengthen collaboration. Meeting was opened by Climent Molins, Vice-rector for Tech. Transfer, Innovation, & Entrepreneurship, UPC, Xavier Sanchez Vila, Director of the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department, UPC and Albert de la Fuente Antequera, professor at UPC and Circ-Boost project Coordinator.

Orus Energy completed a funding round of 2.2 million euros at the beginning of July. An energy flexibility platform, the start-up will accelerate the development of its product and the deployment of its solution in France and Europe.
